The Promise of Land in the Year of Jubilee

In Leviticus 25 verse 13, each of you shall return to his property. You can see in the Old Testament that ancient Israel was not in a social contract. If you needed to sell your land, what you couldn't get was a mortgage. All you could do was give it to someone else for a certain number of years and they would restore it.
