The 500th anniversary of the Reformation is looming before us. It's also a time for some self-reflection, especially given the kinds of charges that then and now are made against Protestantism. The question is, did they inadvertently bequeath interpretive pluralism, even anarchy? Brad Gregory has written a book recently suggesting that the Reformers were the ones that unleashed secularism on the world.
