Chris Watts - The Watts Family Murders

Chris Watts killed his pregnant wife and two children in August 2018. He blamed the deaths on an affair he was having with a woman called Nicole Kessinger. The couple had been arguing about separating before she went away for a business trip. Chris then drove her body over to a work site where he smothered both of their daughters, aged three and four. When police arrived they found him confessing but that's another kind of interesting aspect too.
