The jury and the defense weren't aware of a lot of these weaknesses. The prosecution also had this issue, which is that there was no forensic evidence against Andy. They argued that he was phronetically aware and that he had somehow deliberately made sure he didn't leave any kind of trace. And so Andy, you end up getting convicted. What was your initial sentence? Discretionary life sentence with a tariff of seven years from the time of arrest. You spend that first night with that sentence in the prison cell,. knowing that you're facing down that sentence after conviction... It was terrible. Terrible.
