I like how you've taken your historical work and then brought it into your constructive theological thinking. When you talk to students who have a hang up, say with divine wrath or anger, what do you say on a pastoral level to those sorts of questions? You have sought using works like Renita Weems and others to really help students attend to the rhetorical gambit of the vocal texts that wield violence and violent imagery. That doesn't anesthetize it somehow or sort of sanitize it, but it does localize it in some way.
