The Four Months of the Rainy Season

Monsoon is not something that you will see in Greece. Zeus cannot play the function of the rain god as we know it. Chaturmas or the four months of the rainy season becomes the dominant idea in Indian thought. In Buddhist tradition, it is a time when the monks would not move because it's so rainy and it's so dangerous. There are many rivers that appear only in the rainy season.
