The Chinese example with social credit is a really good lens for us to ask about the extent to which we in the US or in the UK are prepared for the implications of these very, very powerful technologies. We're going to have to ask some pretty hard questions about where we draw that line because that line was previously drawn by the limits of the technology. The technology is now increasingly unlimited, so we have to ask the ethical question of where do we want that line to be. I find Europe's position in the world in terms of technology both sad and fascinating at the same time. There are literally nowhere to be seen at the top of the ladder.
