The History of Moses and the Exodus

The story of Moses and the Exodus excites debate about its historical viability. There is enough in the way of archaeological evidence to suggest that the Hebrew Bible is constructed from contemporary written sources based on events starting around 1200 BCE. However historians are trying to cover the remaining cracks and this means trying to go backwards in the biblical texts from the corroborated stories. This leads us back to the story of Moses  and the Exodus which has been suggested to be Ramesses II.
