The Forced Labor Program in Xinjiang
As far as we know of the forced labor, one seems to have been simply moving people from the camps directly into factories. They're still living under controlled conditions. In fact, this is really a condition of their releases that they then work in a factory, sometimes for for no wages. It's been documented sometimes for very low wages, and that sort of thing. Then there's labor transfers, which involve moving people further away to other parts of Xinjiang or other parts of China. And again, some of those facilities seem to have actually been restricting the movements of people living within dorms,.
