The vast majority of America's plastic is not getting recycled. It's mainly ending up in landfills or worse, the ocean. So what do we do? Well, to figure it out, I hopped on a bus and headed down to the Covanta incinerator in Alexandria. The plant is one of about 100 waste to energy plants in the US - designed to get rid of waste and generate energy.
