The God of Comfort

Paul says God is the father of mercy and comfort. These are not typical things that people would be like, who would worship the God of comfort? What? No, but this is good news. This is what would at one in the same time be maybe seen as, I don't know, scandalous is the right word, but certainly contradictory. But it's quite compelling about the Christian faith in the early days in Greek culture.
