i encourage people to start whatever it is that they want to start on the side and not just quit everything immediately. Many of them have very good jobs, so it's not like they're stuck only in dead end jobs. You don't want to burn any bridges, right? Get clear on what makes you an excellent performer and do that. Find the idea which woll show you how to do. Start testing it, in fact, get a few paying clients if you can. And that way you know, if and when you decide to make the jump, you have clients ready to go.
