The real trouble here, I think the real point of debate and contention is the fact that we're trying to work with two legal categories that are mutually exclusive, person or thing. And it may be the case that we just need a better moral ontology. We just might need something that gives our legal system a little more latitude with regards to the kinds of entities that can occupy these kinds of positions in our world. So yeah, with that in mind, do you have any thoughts about what robot rights might look like or what perhaps one of your most ideal scenarios might be for how that might look in practice?
