What Is Ecclesiology Now?

In an objective sense, that's what the church is. Those persons who are chosen by God or by Christ to be his own people. But subjectively speaking, a person becomes the church in this objective sense or a Christian we might say when they come to understand themselves as such. We have this common orientation which is more fundamental than and independent of the differences of opinion that distinguishes amongst ourselves. So there's something deeper than all our different doctrine of differences that makes us to be one church.
