Big Idea Books Are Not Projects That Deliver Certainty

The big idea book is a great amalgamation of all the other three, and it's all one sort of delicious package. Big idea books are about looking at a very, very specific pheno na and going on sort of an intellectual adventure. We often believe that, oh, i read this book drive by dan pink, therefore, if i apply the principles that he talks about in that book, i will gain a certain outcome. And that's not the case. The same thing for malcolm gladwell,  is that we're looking at individual phenomena out of context. That creates unexpected events that we have difficulty in metabilizing.
