The Benefit of the Doubt
Sally Kohn: I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt to all the administration officials who sincerely believed that these were necessary steps for public safety and they were trying to do the right thing. She says we need to better understand the costs and benefits of certain decisions, avoid making similar mistakes in the future. "It just seems like we as a government screwed that up over and over again," she adds.
