The Importance of Mentoring in Research

There's a lot of local resources for equipment grants and things like that, but a large part of the foundation is supported by the indirects from NIH grants. There's no tenure here or that kind of thing, so you have to be getting grants, and preferably NIH grants to sort of keep your position,. So there's no dead weight around here, I would say. Oh, that's nice having that many postdocs. Having all those post docs around really keeps me engaged, and it's a lot Of fun.
