Dernanimab: A Turning Point in the Battle Against Alzheimer's Disease
Drug called Dernanimab has been hailed as a turning point in the fight against Alzheimer's disease. Scientists say that the drug which slowed the cognitive decline by 35% on average allowed people with Alzheimer's disease to keep their independence for longer. It targets the build-up in the brain of the chemical beta amyloid, which is thought to poison nerve cells and can cause Cognitive Decline.
