A Strange Result in a Meta-Analysis
One study found that people were more suspicious when they saw real weapons than images of them. This is yet another thing that could just be a sort of like a artifact of the existing research that isn't really robust, doesn't actually mean anything, but it could be a real discovery. But if that were a real effect, i would wonder, what could explain that? I mean, would people actually be more primed to think, to to perceive hostility and to think aggressive and violent thoughts, when they look at a picture of a gun, rather than when they see a physical gun sitting in front of them?
