Jazz Standards - What's Incredible About Jazz Standards?
It's probably Harry Connick actually because he did that version of it for the movie when Hallie Mac's Harry Mac Sally which was huge. What's incredible about these tunes is you know and this is again I'm stating the obvious here why are they called jazz standards? You can take a tune imbue it with upbeat carefree romance and then you can choose to play it in a way that completely undercuts that. The relationship between chords and melody and rhythm is so sophisticated but not in a flash showing off.
