Do You Think There Are Other Games That Are Doing Better in the US?

In Japan, there's knives out. What about the US? And do you think there are other games that we should be looking out for that could potentially do better in one of these geographies? In the US, it's PUBG, COD Call of Duty Mobile, a little bit of free fire as well in terms of downloads. So in terms of surprising games, it really, there aren't really any surprises as that.

And when we talk about, OK, so when we talk about Chinese market, it seems like there's these two games dominating. In Japan, there's knives out. What about the US? And do you think there are other games that we should be looking out for that could potentially do better in one of these

So in terms of surprising games, it really, there aren't really any surprises as that. Mac Arena, which is doing quite well in the US in terms of Android. So yeah, Plarium's Mac Arena. And in the report, I go into that. It's one of the few games where Android dominates iOS in terms

of revenue. And do you have a specific perspective on why is Mac Arena doing
Speaker 1
so well? Yeah, I tried digging into it. And it seems like all of Plarium's games are doing way better on Android than iOS. So it could be just a company strategy for them. OK.

And maybe before we get off of the geographical differences, Japan versus China versus US, are there some aspect of localization and fitting the theme and the fantasy and maybe the cosmetics and graphics, but from a gameplay perspective, is there anything else that you saw or that you think about when it comes to try to adapt for these specific geographies?
Speaker 1
Specifically for Japan, when I dug into it a bit, they created a Japanese server because the server, that is the Japanese players were more comfortable speaking with similar language. So that's something that they did specifically for Japan. And in terms of gameplay, I think there were some small differences. But I'm not sure over the years whether those has filtered down into general PUBG. Because Game for Peace is kind of like the cannery in the mind for Tencent. And a lot of things that go into Game for Peace end up filtering out into PUBG later on.
