The Importance of Staying Within the Circle of Competence
When people come to him with Stanford real estate around the campus, who knows it better than him? Nobody else knows him better than him. And he's done that several times in his career needs is done really well. To do well as an investor, you do not need a large circle of competence. It doesn't matter how much you understand, but it's important to understand the boundaries of what you understand and to stay within those boundaries.
