Gandara, a Very Important Region for the Spread of Buddhism
Gandara was a very, very important region fo the spread of buddhism. Its so important because it lied on what we call the silk roads. The silk roads were basicly trade routes sentto that stretched from europe and italy to china or through central asia and india. They also hare a very big way of spreading ideas and religion. And gandara was in a very good position on the silk roads, loads of traders and people difeigbus. There weren't just buddhists on these roads, that were christians and zarastrians and manicians,. All over eurasia. Buddhist monasteries acted as substantiaries
