The Tension Between Jonah and the Third Day
Some Bible scholars think there was a special Sabbath the year Jesus died. Professor Wright: It's highly unlikely that Jesus died on a Wednesday or on a Friday. He says several passages we say on the third day rather than after three days. The only way you can reconcile four accounts in the gospels is if the rooster actually crowed nine times, which is what none of the accounts say.
