The Importance of Self-Care
Stress is a great example of the toll that stress can take on your existing executive functioning. It's basically this idea of your brain kind of reorganizing resources to, you know, what's the department that has the most need at that time? Probably the first thing to do is think, how can I care for myself? How can I actually put myself in a state where I feel like I have capacity to do this thing? And sometimes it can be a catch 22 in that you really need to do the self care and take action to improve your executive functioning.
