You Don't Clutter Up an Arrangement

You leave a lot of space in the song tow and certainly in live performance as well, you can hear that space. You don't tend to clutter up an arrangement if there's a lot of room to breathe. I think when you try to just fill em up, there's no room for growth,. And i think you kind of can wear people out, you know? But more often than not, i will write the songs and make them what they're supposed to be without any bells and wistles.
