The Crab Is a Craze Enemy
The game has great UI elements to make sure that you're keeping track of it. There's a circular indicator around the character so that enemies that are out of frame, not within camera view, also getting triggered for that same red flash. The parry is on a really fast cooldown, but he cooled down that if you missed the time or got hit by all four attacks at once. And just the fact that it's faster than other games like this means even if you've played some slower ones in the past your experience with Souls will still be different.
