The History of Lichtenstein

In 1866, the Austro-Prussian War broke out. Lichtenstein at this point was closely aligned with Austria but refused to fight other German speakers. In 2003, Prince Hans Adam oversaw a referendum that would hand him more power than any other monarch in Europe. The princely family is still doing all of the underhanded political maneuvers that they used to even today.
