Why Dental Schools Are Separated From Medical Schools

Oral disease is the number one disease of children and adults. The mouth is a tube to your trachea and lower airway, right? Everything from air to oxygen to food to drink to bacteria to viruses enter your body through your mouth. We don't learn about the oral health system in dental school because they think this is about the dentist. So I hope that me and people like me who are really excited about the oral Health connection can hopefully make some changes over the next few decades.
