Product Manager

How did you find yourself in the role of product manager? The skills that i learned by building my own web sites are very relevant to what i do to day. My advice to anybodywas starting out is to focus on the coarse skills that you can actually leverage and use outside of product management. But i believe like if you son the corus gills, than anything else you can learn on the job.
