How Does Pascal's Gambling Problem Work?
For just one dollar, you can have a chance at winning ten dollars. This wager has what's known as a positive expected value or plus e v in gambling lingo. You may not roll a five the first hundred times in a row, but eventually, if you played long enough, you would be in the black. It is a good place to put your money in. And real quicktess for the record, if you're ever presented by somebody with this bet and you roll not a five 100 times in arow, they're probably scamming you.
