Queen Elizabeth II owns an immense proportion of 39 billion acres that is the habitable portion of the world's surface. If they have something which is inherently valuable and you own it then you can take it to the bank as collateral, borrow money and do things by a car or refrigerator... It's the basis of all capitalist systems.
