i like what you said about um this bit in path that way he he says that he sees this kind of secular ethics that he's doing as something very new. You hear this kind of pessimistic take which is something like well look it's well and good to do ethics but people have been thinking and writing about ethical questions for like thousands of years right? Well i absolutely agree with you yeah there's something very hopeful about that and it's not surprising at all right the path was trained as a historian then realized his calling was a philosopher.
