The Lean Launch Pad: Engineering 245, in STVP
In 2011, Stanford University started a class to teach students entrepreneurship and lean methods by simulating a startup. What's normally lectures are now actually homework for the team-based Entrepreneurial Boot Camp classes. The National Science Foundation Innovation Corps has put over a thousand teams of the best scientists and engineers in the country through it. In 2014, I prototyped a version of the class at UCSF for therapeutics, devices, diagnostics, and digital health. And then we're going to be talking about hacking for defense and hacking for diplomacy.
