Algorithms capture existing human biases and embed them firmly into our ultimate decision making. There are probably two people that i'm thinking about with respect to data driven systems and cycles of disadvantage. So one comes from charlotte, where we spoke to a young, black, queer individual named quincy who is really dismayed with the fact that they hadn't been able to get a job.
