Phil was struck by lightning at the top of a climb in Boulder, Colorado. He says he's always had this fantasy of doing some spectacular climb and meeting like a supermodel and having an affair. But that's not how life or life works; Phil never saw the woman again. His climbing days came to an end after complications from knee injury led to total knee replacement surgery.
