The Importance of Imagining Yourself

The book is based on an essay written by an Eastern Orthodox Christian. He was commenting on the fathers of the church that Lewis had clearly read. Augustine had a Latin phrase, encurvatis en sei: curved in on oneself. And everyone here on this queue, they're turned inward. It makes their soul small and petty. We're going to encounter more of these kinds of souls over the course of the book.
