Aristotle and St. Thomas describe the different ways in which our mind can assent or not to truth claims or to propositions. There are some things that it's just really hard to know because those things are changing realities, they say. And this is especially important when it comes to other types of truth claims like belief claims,. If I can't know, know that Jesus Christ is Lord, then, then we're in trouble.
