The End of the Law Is the Love of God

There is no middle ground for thomas, just as there is not for augustine riht. If you don't have the grace by which you can love god and take god as your end, then you're going to self destruction and go to hell. Our happiness lies with god, right? We are made for something greater than that. And we can't see god unless we love god. That's what's important in loving god. This kind of a middle ground - this is typical of a certain kind of renaissance humanisms. There justnt live life in this world and for the happiness they can get here.
