The Comedy Principle: What Counts as a Major Event?

I am in general without any real strong sense of guilt having been established on the record prior to the launch of a criminal case very reluctant to do this. I remember when Bill Clinton was subject to impeachment and the Supreme Court said, well, we're not going to harm anything. We'll just let discovery go on. And so the historical notion that we don't become a banana republic by having one administration prosecuted predecessor in office will have a serious problem with that. When Biden has gone from office and there's a Republican in charge, Lord knows what is going to happen, but it's not going to look pretty or nice.
