The Importance of Consciousness in the Universe
I love to talk about panpsychism a little bit yeah it's a topic that is very interesting to me and I love that you spend a lot of time writing about it in the book. Panpsychism is really a category of theories that postulate that consciousness is possibly a more fundamental feature of the universe than complex thought or intentions. We don't actually have evidence for that but there must be if some version of panpsychism is correct that these very very minimal forms of matter would be equally minimal in their experience as we are.
