melatonin should begin to rise between essentially 8 and 10 p.m. at night. And it should start to rapidly increase as the sun is down, as long as you are not exposed to blue light or artificial LED lights in your home. You can also wear blue light blocking glasses, which I often do at night - especially if we're going to be watching any TV or using any smart device.
