Alex Prudom: I was trying to get invited to a state dinner while working on this book. The Trump administration only held two of them and didn't see fit to invite me. He says he wanted to do what Julia Child had done way back, show the American public a side of the White House that they don't normally see. "We just seem to need to eat together, whether we like each other or not," said Prudom.
