Some artists will write a pop love song with the intent that it'll be great on film and TV. That can be difficult for some artists because you also don't want the song to sound like it was written for sync. But there are definitely artists that do that. There's an area of the industry for that. I can't really put a percentage on it because it really just depends from project to project.
