Is There Traditional Masculinity?
Mala: It's very difficult for a single mother to do. So fathers that abandon their families, that leave their family. That's not traditional masculinity to me. If I want to talk about other factors of traditional masculinity that are benefits to society, it is taking care of your children and having children with one mother. How much we're using these descriptors of masculinity based on our experiences and living here in the United States. Do you believe that masculine roles are culturally or like your ethnicity may determine what those masculine values are?
