Apollo Global Management: A Private Equity Firm That Built a Successful Portfolio

Apollo Global Management is the largest most successful private equity firm. They manage about 100 billion of private equity funds and they have over 500 billion of assets under management. And I've been with them now five and a half years and they came to me in October of 2017 when they wanted to build kind of an aviation investment practice because there was a void left, I think, by the folks at TPG who better than I know well. Apollo previously had the Merck's aircraft leasing business but that was it. Their most recent transaction that we close was Atlas Air and I've left Sun Country as of March and I'm now Chairman of Atlas Air.
