The Thylocene
The thylocene most likely appeared around two million years ago, and we know that humans in the area knew about them for a long time. And various aboriginal groups, the people who were living there for, again, thousands and thousands of years before outsiders arrived, they knew the animal well. They didn't call it the tiger though. Depending on the community they would call it the corina, the canuna, the cannaner, the lagunta and so on,. depending on the people you were talking to at the time.
