The Last Man Is Proud Because of Education

The last man is proud because of education. The idea that they know everything, their desire to make everything small. I associate this with people who are sort of proudly cynical, proudly nehalistic. They don't take the crisis of nealism seriously. And secretly, covertly, right, they have their own ways of dealing with it in their own sets of values. So some one might retreat into atheism or into scientism,. and make those sorts of things their gods in some places.
