How Do Koalas Form Fingerprints?

In terms of why we have fingerprints it's completely random the pattern is completely random and not at all related to your parents. koalas have fingerprints that look almost identical to humans to the point where if they were found at a crime scene a lot of people wouldn't be able to tell them apart from human fingerprints. But this doesn't mean you should go and um train a koala to go and steal stuff for you or anything like that.
