A lot of what we do is sort of facing outwards, trying to tell the world a story about ourselves. You may im you know, run amarathon to impress your neighbors. You may undergo a very painful religious ritual to show everybody how pious you are. You may self injure as a cry for help. And in fact, a lot of what i talk about,. a lot of suffering we pursue, serve social ends.
